California 2009 Part 1 of 3!

So we are back from our wonderful trip to California! We had a blast and are sad that it is all over with now. I am posting a part 1 and part 2 and maybe even part 3 of our trips because I am still waiting for some other pictures from my mom and sisters camera's. My batteries died in mine a few days into the trip and I didn't get new batteries until the next day so some of our pictures are on other peoples. So I will post the ones I do have and then get the others up once I get them on my computer. And that way then the posts won't be so long hopefully!

So here is how much fun we had. We arrived in San Diego on Saturday night the 9th and it was late so we headed to our hotel after we got our rental cars. My sister Michele and her family and my parents all flew with us and my brother Derek and fam and bro Lance and family flew in at a different time and met up with us. Lance and Raquel came from Oregon and it was so fun to see them and their boys! We missed my oldest sister Tiffany and her family as they were not able to come with us this trip.

So then on Sunday since it was Mother's day we decided to go to the Beach and get something to eat. So we headed to Coronado I am not sure if it is Cornado or Coranado anyway and it was beautiful. We had a lot of fun at the Beach and ate lunch at a fun Pizza and Pasta place down there. And also got some very yummy Ice Cream at the Coronado hotel. After we hung out down there for a few hours and got ourselves nice and fried.. We thought we would be safe with not a lot of sunscreen on, but we were wrong. My face got burned and I payed for it afterward. Anyway then we went back to the hotel and let the kids swim. My kids didn't get in then since they fell asleep on the drive home.

Then that night we went to Chili's for dinner since my nephew Brice requested their chips and salsa!

Monday we headed to Sea World and that was a lot of fun. We had not been there since the year Lance and I got engaged. Last Disneyland trip we did not do Sea World so that was fun for all. The shows were all great!

Tuesday we drove to Anaheim and went shopping at Downtown Disney and ate dinner at the ESPN Restaurant. We bought the kids some fun things and they even got their own autograph books for the Characters to sign.

Wednesday was our first day at Disneyland and California adventure and it was so nice because it was not crowded at all. Then since it closed early that night we went to Olive Garden and had dinner.

Thursday we were suppose to go to Disneyland again but changed our days and went to Knott's Berry farm that day instead of Friday. And then that night we went to Goofy's kitchen and ate dinner with the Characters and that was fun, Sawyer liked them as long as they were far away. The only one he liked was Mickey. He loves The Mickey Mouse club house show and when he sees Mickey he gets excited! We went to the Mickey Mouse club house show at California adventure and the kids all loved it!

Friday and Saturday were another Disneyland/California Adventure day we had 3 day hoppers. We had a lot of fun, but I think just 2 days would have been enough we were all kinda Disneyed out by the last day. Maybe had it not been sooo hot and wall to wall people it would have been better!

Saturday the guys were all able to go over early at 8 to Disneyland and get in 8 rides in a hour while the girls stayed asleep and got the kids ready and came over a little later.

Sunday we packed up and went to the Airport. :( It was crazy busy at LAX and one of their scan machines went down right when we got up there so getting through security was a bigger pain than normal. But we made it and got on our flight and back to our homes and reality!

We had a wonderful time and it was fun being with the family. There was 23 of us and at times it got a bit crazy getting everyone everywhere, but all in all it was a great time and I am glad that we were able to go and have fun!

We were able to take their carseats on the plane the first flight and that was very nice. We borrowed the ones my mom has for the Grand kids so we didn't have to take ours both out of our car since they are a pain to un seatbelt and get back tight how we like them.
